How To Help

There are many ways you can assist the Food Bank

DONATIONS BY CHEQUE
This is the most convenient for many businesses and individuals.  We have a sponsorship program that many corporations have joined.  We are grateful for their support, and hope you will patronize their businesses wherever possible.  Please CONTACT US for more information, and see our SPONSOR PAGE for information on who is currently supporting the Food Bank.

Please mail your cheque to the address below.  All donations of $20 or more are tax receiptable.

DONATIONS OF FOOD
The following is a list of items we never seem to have enough of:

  1. Canned tuna, salmon, ham, chicken (protein source)
  2. Canned chili(Stagg's preferred), stews, and pasta with meat (protein source)
  3. Chunky Soups containing beef or chicken
  4. Canned tomatoes, canned pasta sauce, canned tomato paste
  5. Canned fruit
  6. Granola Bars
  7. Canned green/wax beans, peas, mixed veggies, corn niblets

Please do not donate items in glass containers.  They are awkward and dangerous when not transported in case lots.

Note: Baby items are NOT needed at this time

Schomberg's Foodland offer $10. pre-packed bags for sale during these drives. These bags contain food that is especially requested by the Food Bank. They also have a Gift Card program. The donated cards go either straight to the Food Bank client to purchase perishables or are used to make quantity purchases of well-priced items.

Need someone to pick up food from your school, home or business? Contact us and please allow at least 48 hours to arrange for a volunteer.
