Sincere thanks are extended to Hillside Gardens and a generous grower of cucumbers for produce donations that complemented the groceries available last month. Dorio’s Bakery and Tim Horton Schomberg again offer breads and bakery treats…big thanks and smiles; who doesn’t love an extra treat!
Plans are finalized for London Calling! on October 19th at Nobleton Lakes; Food Bank volunteers are looking forward to welcoming you to an evening of English foods, including imported cheeses, and Beer tasting. There will be busker style entertainment, and the most amazing auction, with businesses in are around King having donated over $20,000 worth of merchandise, works of art, personal services, restaurant cards and certificates, sports memorabilia, and a live auction segment later in the evening.
In addition, businesses and individuals have sponsored and donated cash, menu items, ingredients for food stations, expertise, supplies, professional services, and truck and muscle time to prepare for the cocktail party of the year in addition to the team of Food Bank volunteers who have been busy on the project for months.
But in the end, a party is not a party without guests who attend to enjoy the evening.
