King Firefighters Association helps banish the winter blahs

The newest fire truck “341” is the background for Gerry Binsfeld and Mariska Kempers who are holding a cheque for $1500 payable to the King Township Food Bank.

Gerry and Mariska are the proverbial tip of the iceberg of about 50 firefighters in King City, whose volunteer efforts not only save lives and property but also raise thousands of dollars for the community.

Winter is traditionally a very low period for donations and the Food Bank is thankful for this generous ‘lift’ to winter income.
